Malawi's Leopards lie second in Group F of the 2023 Cosafa Cup after a 5-1 win over Mauritius in their second group stage match in Durban on Tuesday.
Maurtius took the lead in the first half through an own goal by Malawi's Gomezgani Chirwa, but the Leopards equalized before the break through Mphatso Magaleta and went on to score four more goals in the second half.
Three goals from Gabadinho Mhango
Gabadinho Mhango scored three of Malawi's goals, with the other two coming from Chiukepo Msowoya and substitute Precious Sambani.
The win takes Malawi to four points, two behind leaders Mozambique who beat Comoros 1-0 in the other Group F match.
Malawi will face Comoros in their final group stage match on Thursday, while Mauritius will play Mozambique.
The top two teams from each group, as well as the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarterfinals.
