Hungary v Germany: Prediction, team news, line-ups
Hungary
Hungary will be looking to end a incredible eight-game losing streak in the UEFA Nations League when they host Germany at the Puskas Arena on Friday.
The last triumph for Marco Rossi´s players was the famous 1-0 away victory against England in June, 2022. Since then, Hungary have lost to Italy twice, Germany (twice), England, Luxembourg, Greece and Serbia.
Germany
Germany, meanwhile, are also seeking to return to winning ways after sharing the points with England in their last Nations League outing.
Hansi Flicks’ side have won just once in their last five matches - a 1-0 home win over Oman in a friendly last November - and go into this tie with a resounding 5-2 defeat by England in September still lingering over them.
Hungary´s team news
Rossi is expected to make wholesale changes in terms of personnel from the team which started the 1-0 loss in Greece on Tuesday.
There could be places in defence for Attila Szalai, Akos Kecskes and Loic Nego, while Dominik Szoboszlai and Roland Sallai are likely to feature in attacking midfield positions.
Germany´s team news
Germany head coach Flick is set to give chances to some of his fringe players in Budapest.
Christian Gunter, Nico Schlotterbeck, Thilo Kehrer and David Raum could feature in defence, while Borussia Dortmund youngster Youssoufa Moukoko could also be handed his first international start.
