Three taken to hospital in Brant County crash

Three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Brant County on Monday afternoon.

OPP say the crash happened on Highway 24 near Garden Avenue in Brant County around 1:30 p.m.

Police say a pickup truck and a car collided head-on. The driver of the pickup truck was airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries. The driver and passenger of the car were taken to Brantford General Hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

OPP are reminding drivers to be careful on the roads, especially during the winter months.

Police say that drivers should slow down, increase their following distance, and be prepared for slippery conditions.

OPP also say that drivers should avoid using their cell phones while driving and should make sure that their vehicles are in good working condition.
