Stalker 2: A massive "Day-0 patch", but not for PC
What's going on?
GSC Game World has announced that Stalker 2 will be receiving a massive "Day-0 patch" on release, but it will only be available for Xbox Series X|S consoles.
The developer has not provided a reason for the lack of a PC day-0 patch, but the latest news is that the title will only be receiving a patch in the "coming days".
Xbox patch delayed
Additionally, the Xbox Series X|S patch that was originally planned to release alongside the game has also been delayed to a future date.
This is disappointing news for PC and Xbox players alike, but GSC Game World has assured fans that the patches are coming and will include a number of bug fixes and performance improvements.
In the meantime, players can still enjoy the game on PC and Xbox Series X|S, but they may experience some bugs and performance issues until the patches are released.
Official statement
In a statement on the game's official Discord server, GSC Game World said:
"We are aware of the issues that some players are experiencing on PC and Xbox Series X|S, and we are working hard to address them.
We will be releasing a patch for Xbox Series X|S on day one, and a patch for PC in the coming days.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your patience and understanding."
We will continue to monitor the situation and update this article as more information becomes available.
