A New Era Dawns in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

The SC Riessersee is a German ice hockey club based in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria. The club was founded in 1881 and is one of the oldest ice hockey clubs in Germany. Riessersee has won the German championship twice, in 1927 and 1932, and has also won the German Cup twice, in 1969 and 1970. The club currently plays in the DEL2, the second-highest level of ice hockey in Germany.

A New Coach for a New Era

Ahead of the 2023/24 season, the SC Riessersee has appointed a new coach, Pat Cortina. Cortina is an experienced coach who has previously coached several clubs in Italy, Switzerland, and Germany. He is also a former player who represented Italy at the Olympic Games and World Championships.
