Nations League: Turkey missed promotion, Wales rejoices
Turkey played 3-3 against Luxembourg and missed promotion to League A of the Nations League. Wales celebrated staying in League B with a 1-0 win against Finland.
The Turkish national team needed a win against Luxembourg on the last matchday to move up to the top division of the Nations League. However, the team coached by Stefan Kuntz only managed a 3-3 draw against the outsider. Luxembourg led 2-0 after just 11 minutes. Turkey turned the game around and led 3-2 until the 87th minute, but conceded a late equalizer.
Wales secured their place in League B
Wales, on the other hand, secured their place in League B with a narrow 1-0 win over Finland. Kieffer Moore scored the winning goal in the 10th minute. Wales finished second in their group behind group winners the Netherlands.
