Pistorius Gains Ground, Scholz Suffers Losses

In the latest Forsa politician ranking, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) has made significant gains, while Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) has suffered noticeable losses.

Pistorius climbed eight places to third place, ahead of Scholz, who fell four places to fifth.

Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Greens) remains in second place, while Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) retains the top spot.

Wagenknecht Loses Popularity Amidst Controversy

Left-wing politician Sahra Wagenknecht (Die Linke) has seen her popularity plummet in the wake of her controversial remarks on the Ukraine war.

Wagenknecht dropped 13 places to 22nd in the ranking, marking a significant decline.

Her comments, in which she called for peace negotiations with Russia and criticized arms deliveries to Ukraine, have drawn widespread criticism.

Habeck Gains, Merz Falls

Economy Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) has risen four places to sixth place, while CDU leader Friedrich Merz has fallen seven places to 13th.

Habeck's rise is attributed to his handling of the energy crisis, while Merz's decline may be related to his recent criticism of the government.

The Forsa politician ranking is based on a survey of 1,004 Germans conducted from November 17th to 23rd, 2022.
