Third Water Main Break in the Kaiserviertel Within Two Weeks

Dortmund - On Tuesday evening, a water pipe burst again in the Kaiserviertel in Dortmund. This is the third water main break in the district within two weeks. The affected area is around Max-Eyth-Straße and Geschwister-Scholl-Straße.

Water Supply Interrupted

As a result of the water pipe burst, the water supply in the affected area was interrupted. The affected households and businesses are currently without water.

Repair Work Ongoing

The repair work is currently ongoing. It is not yet clear when the water supply will be restored.

Cause of the Water Pipe Burst

The cause of the water pipe burst is still unknown. However, it is suspected that the cold weather may have caused the pipes to freeze and burst.

Previous Water Pipe Bursts

This is the third water pipe burst in the Kaiserviertel within two weeks. On January 18, a water pipe burst on Max-Eyth-Straße. On January 24, another water pipe burst on Geschwister-Scholl-Straße.
