Devin Townsend Maps Out First North American Tour in Five Years

Canadian Musician's Dates Include Maryland Deathfest, Las Vegas Residency

The "Empath" architect is set to embark on his first North American trek since 2018. Devin Townsend has announced a 15-date tour of the United States and Canada, launching April 24th at the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore. The outing will feature support from The Black Dahlia Murder, Veil of Maya and more on select dates. Townsend will also perform two nights at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 28th and 29th, with special guests Animals as Leaders and Plini set to open both shows. Additional stops include Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Los Angeles and Seattle before the trek wraps May 13th at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon.

Tickets for all dates will go on sale Friday, Feb. 17th at 10 a.m. local time.

The upcoming dates follow a busy period of productivity for Townsend during the pandemic. In addition to releasing the four-part "Empath" in 2019, he's also issued a pair of albums under the Casualties of Cool moniker, as well as 2021's self-titled effort with the Devin Townsend Project. He also recently launched the Hevy Devy streaming channel and podcast network.
