Progressive Metal Icon Plans 40-Date Trek This Fall

Townsend has booked an extensive North American tour in support for his recent releases, “Lightwork” and “Empath,” with special guests Spiritbox and Intervals.

After several years spent writing, producing, and pushing the boundaries of music, Devin Townsend makes his long-awaited return to the stage. The celebrated progressive metal artist and producer will be embarking on a 40-date North American tour this fall in support for his recent releases, “Lightwork” and “Empath.” Joining Townsend on the trek are special guests Spiritbox and Intervals.

The tour kicks off on November 6 in San Diego, California and winds its way across the US and Canada before concluding on December 18 in Orlando, Florida. Along the way, the trek will hit major markets such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, and New York City.

Townsend’s live shows are known for their intense energy and unpredictable setlists, which often feature a mix of his classic hits and new material. Fans can expect to hear tracks from “Lightwork” and “Empath,” as well as deep cuts from his extensive back catalog.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday, August 5 at 10am local time. VIP packages are also available, which include a meet-and-greet with Townsend and other exclusive perks.
