Colorado Dog Gets New Lease on Life with Custom Wheelchair
Wheelchair provides freedom and mobility for paralyzed dog
Dog's owner and local community come together to raise funds for wheelchair
A Colorado dog named Buddy is getting a new lease on life thanks to a custom-built wheelchair.
Buddy was paralyzed in a car accident last year. His owner, Sarah, was devastated by the news, but she was determined to give her beloved dog the best possible life.
Sarah reached out to a local animal rescue organization, which helped her connect with a veterinarian who specializes in animal rehabilitation. The veterinarian recommended that Buddy get a custom-built wheelchair to help him regain his mobility.
The cost of the wheelchair was $5,000, so Sarah started a GoFundMe campaign to raise the funds. Within a few weeks, she had raised enough money to cover the cost of the wheelchair and even more.
Buddy's new wheelchair arrived in the mail a few weeks ago, and he has been loving it ever since. He can now run and play with his friends again, and he even went on a hike last weekend.
Sarah is so grateful to everyone who helped Buddy get his new wheelchair. She said that it has given him a new lease on life.
"He's like a completely different dog now," Sarah said. "He's so much happier and more active. I'm so glad that we were able to get him this wheelchair."
